After a recent trip to Jamaica, Rapper & Pop Culture Icon Calvin Brodus, the man formerly known as “Snoop Doggy Dogg” and “Snoop Dogg” has now changed his name to “Snoop Lion” after a recent life changing experience in a Rastafari temple.
According to Snoop, the priest asked what his name was and said that you are no longer Snoop Dogg but from now on will be known as “Snoop Lion”.
“I feel like I’ve always been Rastafarian,” Snoop said. While there he said he was also given the Ethiopian name Berhane, meaning “light of the world.”
