Social media policies are somewhat of a touchy subject. Some companies think they are vital, while other companies think they’re unnecessary. Also, some companies think they need to be very formal and lengthy, and some think just the opposite.
SalesForce.com has created a Social Media Policy to protect the employees and the company from the risks associated with using in social media, they’ve mapped out clear guidelines identifying what is ok and not ok for the company.
Although this video is intended for SalesForce.com employees it is a great resource and starting point for other Social Media Policy makers.
